JUST IMAGES - FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW MORE...
This website is a presentation platform for photography + photographics and other visual stuff of Christian Wagner
and various sympathizers of boa73 with similar intentions in the field of visual conception. In
the course of time the visual content of this site should grow and more sympathizers should leave
their marks on this website.
Whereas the visual traces of various artists and sympathizers, formally known as third party content,
are collected in the friendly alien area.
INTENTION - WELL, THERE IS AN UNRESTRAINED CREATIVE URGE TO TAKE PHOTOS - I CANNOT EXPLAIN IT IN OTHER WORDS.
- MAYBE - FINDING AN ABSTRACT WAY OF INDIVIDUAL EXPRESSION.
The perception of our well known world around us and the construction of reality or better - the perceived reality,
is varing with the various individuals. One of my favorite intention making photos is seeking the unknown in the seemingly well known. Alienated abstraction of daily perception.
Thus I try to pursue photography as a kind of painting, establishing the retouching on a par with taking the photo, to give the photos the emotive touch suggesting my impression of the scenery to viewers.
The concentration on abstraction techniques leads me to photographics. Abstract photography in combination with overpainting became one of my central interest for a while. In this period the idea of the rhythmus edition was realised.
Whatever I tried in this field, I always strived to be a little unconventional - but only a little ;)
FUTURE GOALS
In conclusion, my past works are mainly motivated by aesthetic aspects.
Inspired by Jeff Wall, Robert Frank and others, I would like to work more in a narrative but still personal way in future.
Conceptual works and staged surrealistic sceneries will be
my future challenges in photography.Inspired by the book "land without a self" and other influencial austrain authors I came to the point that it could be interesting to spend more time dealing
with the contemporary culture of the world around us. So I started a collection named "Reminisence"
which is about my perception of Austrian lifestyle and its pervasion by the laws of tradition involving rural
influences and artefacts.
TECHNICAL STUFF
ANALOGUE + DIGITAL
WITH A CLEAR CUT PREFERENCE TO REFLEX CAMERAS
At the moment, I am very frustrated about the disappearing of high quality
analogue film products from the market and the extremly decreasing quality of commercial
photographic laboratories.

Here is a small collections of links and books, i would like to recommend. Different genres - different stuff
